BATTERY RECYCLING
New Pioneers has reinstated our household battery recycling program!
The following types of batteries can be dropped off at our office from
9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday:
– Alkaline batteries
– Nickel Cadmium batteries (NiCd)
– Nickel-Metal -Hydride batteries (NiMH)
– Lithium Metal batteries (less than 25g of lithium content) *
– Lithium Ion batteries (less than 300 Wh rated capacity) *
Damaged, defective or recalled batteries can not be accepted.
*Most consumer-style lithium metal and li-ion batteries fall within these
size limitations, including lithium metal AA & AAA cells, lithium metal button cells, and rechargeable li-ion batteries used in laptops, cell phones, and power tools.
